Week 100 - Woodsn't it be nice to be home!

Family!!!!!

I love you.

I hope that you all have noticed that every week for two years I've told you that I love you guys. It's because it's true. There is not a single day that goes by that I don't think about you all and think about how much I love you!

I want to take this opportunity to write you all a final testimony.

These past two years have changed my life forever. My testimony has grown so much that this church is true. I have no doubt in my mind that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that the book of Mormon is true, and that Christ Himself leads and directs this church. I have felt the hand of God as he has lead me, guided me, and walked beside me. This work is His work. His glory. I honestly can't report any numbers about my mission. Why? Because I haven't been counting. All I know is that for 2 years I've worked my hardest every day. Even still, I am, like many prophets have said, a slothful and a lazy servant. I recognize that I am only a tool in the hands of The Lord. He moves us, if we let him. I know that Christ is our Savior. He paid the price of our sins!

I have changed so much. I realize that I've grown to be more like He who I follow, even though I am far from being like Him, I'm certainly on my way. I feel that this mission has helped me to put myself on the right trajectory to return home with my Father in Heaven one day. This mission will never end. It will just adopt a new title, a new setting, a new plot, and different forms, but it will NEVER END. I have learned by experiences, both good and bad, who I want to be and what I want to do. The adventure is learning HOW to do it. :)

I can't even begin to explain the impact of my mission. As John said, "I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written." If I were to try and write everything, frankly we wouldn't have enough time. Luckily I'm not asked to sum up this time that I've been here, because I'll have a whole life time to reflect on it and share it with those who most need to hear about it.

I love My Savior. I love My Father in Heaven. I am their servant, and will be so FOREVER. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Elder Morgan

See you in a week!

P.S. - From Elder Morgan's Editor (his dad :-) ).

It has been a pleasure to keep this blog up-to-date for Elder Morgan each week.  I am very proud of what he's done, and what he's become, just as I am proud of all my children (and grand-children).  I feel so very fortunate to have kids that I can truly say amaze me every day.

I will miss these weekly postings, and I'll miss the anticipation to hear what Elder Morgan has been up to during the week, but I will be even more grateful to have him home safe and sound.  I know The Lord has watched over him while he's been serving, and I know that all of us have been blessed because of it.

I'll probably post one more entry when he gets home next week to close out the complete circle, but wanted to leave a note to just touch the tip of the iceberg of emotions I'm feeling.

Week 99 - His name is Woods, but he ain't no tiger....

Family!!!!

Love you all!!!!

There are just a few more grains of sand in the hourglass. :)

This week was a hard one for us. We worked really hard, but didn't see much success. That normally means that this week should be a good one.

Had our interviews with the President this week. it went really well. He thanked me for my service. I'll have one more interview with him right before I go home. I love that man. He told Elder Woods that Elder Woods needs to help me slow down at the end so it's not so much of a 100 MPH to 0 MPH sort of thing when I get home. WE'RE NOT SLOWING DOWN!!!!! :) NEVER! haha

It's going good. We have some really cool people that we're teaching. Everything is going great.

Welp, what else can I say?? I'll just tell you the rest when I get home :P

Week 98 - Feels like camping in the Woods

Family!!!!

I love you all!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. Time is flying.

This week was really great.

We had our zone conference with the President this week and it went really well! I gave my farewell testimony and many people thanked me for it afterwards. Having the past few weeks to think about the end of my mission, I'm really so thankful for everything that I've learned here. I'm not the same person that I was 2 years ago. I know that for a fact.

Well, we also got some rain this week, but while there was plenty of water outside, there was no water inside! 3 days without running water! That means 3 days without bathing too! Woot woot. Water finally came on two days ago! :) (That's why it's like we were camping in the Woods (my companion))

Conference was awesome! I know that the 3 new apostles have been called of God! They have been chosen and will be prepared!

Some great quotes I liked from Conference: Exaltation is the goal, discipleship is the journey!  And other ones that I can't remember off the top of my head. Thank goodness for study journals!

Anyways, we also had a baptism yesterday. A recent convert got to baptize his son! He did such a good job! It was so incredible to see it! I love those guys!

Welp, what more can I say? I'll tell you all more in a few weeks ;)

Love you!
